DXB Snow Run 2025: Dubai’s chillest race returns this Sunday
Unique 3km and 5km loops challenge awaits at Ski Dubai
DUBAI: Runners, lace up for a frosty challenge! The sixth edition of the DXB Snow Run is gearing up to take place on Sunday, 18 May, inside Ski Dubai, Mall of the Emirates.
Organised by Ski Dubai in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council, this event promises a truly unique experience – running in sub-zero temperatures while surrounded by snow-covered slopes.
Registration for this one-of-a-kind race closes on Thursday, 15 May, via PremierOnline. Open to individuals aged 13 to 70, the event welcomes solo participants as well as groups of five for a spirited team competition. Whether you're chasing a podium finish or simply craving a fun workout in a surreal setting, this event delivers thrills for everyone.
Icy adventure awaits
Participants can choose between two distances – 3km, which includes three loops, or a more intense 5km challenge comprising five loops. Both formats allow racers to compete individually or as part of a five-member team, making it ideal for corporate groups, fitness clubs, and families looking for a cool bonding activity.
Finishers will receive a commemorative medal as a keepsake, while the top three athletes in each category will take home prizes and a moment of glory on the winners’ podium. The snow-covered course not only provides a temperature-controlled environment but also a distinct edge that sets it apart from traditional runs.
DXB Snow Run
First introduced in 2020, the DXB Snow Run was among the earliest snow sport competitions held globally after the COVID-19 lockdowns. Its popularity has grown steadily, with the 2024 edition seeing a record participation of 600 athletes from 55 different nationalities.
The event is not only a crowd-puller but also a testament to Dubai’s innovative approach to sporting events. It continues to attract amateur and seasoned runners alike, offering a refreshing escape from the summer heat.
